I have these aluminum struts that I came upon and started making dowels to press into the ends to fit into the shock mounts. The struts are 12.5 inches eye to eye and put the front end about 6 inches off the ground. I will make the dowels as they are ordered so it will be about a week until they ship out to you unless asked otherwise. I am sending 20 of them off to get anodized black tomorrow. There is also blue, red, and gold anodized colors available. I took one in to a local machine shop to get a bid to get these milled with a pattern in them. If you want a set let me know and i will give you a price. The more milled struts that are ordered at once the cheaper it gets. These can be ordered in many different options:
Raw-$35 a piece
Polished-$50 a piece
Anodized-$50 a piece
Anodized/Milled-
Polished/Milled-
Raw/Milled-

Im still trying to figure out how to upload pics....

TESTING: I made a jig tonight to put a strut in our press to try and see just how strong or weak these struts are. We put a single strut in and tried to break it.

RESULTS: It got a bit scary but at a little over 13,100 pounds the strut started to bend, then the welds broke and the strut cracked.

Im pretty sure these will be strong enough, there will be an ultralight strut where that milled pattern is plunged all the way through. We will do the some test with those to see what they will hold up to.

No, this is the only length availabe. I think it is a good length for raptors, puts the bike pretty low. What length were you thinking would be better?

We did some more testing tonight, first we made a new jig to make sure that it didnt cause the strut to fail. We tested the ultralight version and re-tested the solid version.
RESULTS:
Ultralight - At 7,900 pounds the strut bent
Solid - At 15,000 pounds the strut bent
