Trying to figure out where I would run with my new motor. Give me a hand guys?

All work on this motor done by Dan Lamey of Dasa Racing.

Dasa/Webs 242/216 cams
+1 Ti ex. valves
+2 TB bore
Serdi Valve Job
Ti HD valve springs
Ti Retainers
Ported Head
Bored Cylinder to 480 cc
Dasa/JE 13.8:1 piston
Fuel Atv Intake
Dasa Exhaust

Where abouts would I fit in for FSA competition?

I think your best bet would be to put the front brakes back on and run the duner class (which is going to be named shooter class). If you want to start reallllllyyyy lightening your bike you could run some of the upper classes.

Put on your front brakes and run the new "Duners Class"....

Shooters Class is going to be one of those borderline classes.... with more serious racing in mind.

PUMP GAS?!?! Why? That sounds like a lame rule, that rules me out of the duner class, and FSA racing all together because any class above that and I can't afford all the Ti parts to be competitive. Oh well it was a cool idea!

If you run Race gas then go into the Shooters class....

Shooters class is whats going to replace the Duners Class at next race and in the future... its still a 505lbs weigh class... so you will not see TI parts just big fast motors.... Im sure Dan has taken care or you.. I also run a Dasa build...

Put your front brakes back on and weigh your bike to see where you stand. You want to weight more that 505lbs and run the approved VP fuel for the shooter class (currently called duner).

It is a 505lb. combined (rider/machine) weight.

The rules have been updated with the appropriate class names under General Rules.

Just to make sure, I'm under the impression the bikes cannot have anything done to reduce weight. What about a race cut? And also I don't run heel guards and my timing window cap is a Ti one from yosh, is this ok?

If you run the current duner class soon to be shooter class, you can have parts to reduce weight, you just have to stay at a combined rider and bike weight of 505lbs and a few other requirements.

* Under 650 Shooters Class – OEM chassis, OEM modified motors running on approved FSA gas, working front/rear brakes, in frame exhaust system with baffled silencer, 56.5" wheelbase, 505 lb. minimum combined weight, light weight parts allowed, no overriden transmissions, front plastic required.

FSA APPROVED FUEL LIST

VP Fuel ONLY
VP-110 Purple
C-12 Green
C-14 Yellow
C-16 Blue
MR-1 Clear
MR-8 Yellow
MR-9 Clear
MR-10 Pale Green
MR-11 Yellow
MRX-01 Pink
Ultimate 2 Clear
Ultimate 4.2 Blue
87 - 91 pump gas (E85 is illegal)
M1 methanol
